Welcome to the Graffiti Tutorial. This tutorial was created using PSP 7. I have used the bricks texture, CAC Krazy Legs Bold font and Eye Candy 4000 (optional). Included in the zip below are the bricks texture and the font, in case you don't have those. Get the zip here. 1. Open a new transparent image, 400X400. 2. Open a new raster layer. 3. Flood fill the new layer with the bricks texture.
4. Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Emboss. 5. Add a new raster layer. 6. Flood fill this layer with the bricks texture. 7. Go to your layers pallette and change the blend mode to overlay and change the layer opacity to 37. 8. Duplicate that layer and change the blend mode to overlay and change the layer opacity to 27. 9. Hide layer 1 and merge visible layers. 10. Add 2 new layers. 11. Click text and choose your font, size 60. Stroke-null, fill (color of choice) I used - #80FF80. Click ok. 12. On your graphic use the move tool and move the text if necessary. 13. Use the deformation tool and angle your text. 14. Go to Selections/Modify/Feather/5. 15. On the layer pallette, delete layer. 16. You should have just the marching ants now.
17. Flood fill the active selection with the color you chose for your text. 18. Go to the layer pallette and change the blend mode to - overlay. 19. Duplicate the layer and change the opacity to 38. 20. If you have Eye Candy 4000 and wish to put the drips in you may do so now with the following settings. If you don't have Eye Candy 4000 you may just skip to the next step. 21. Repeat steps 10 thru 20 for each line of text that you use. 22. When all your text is done, merge all layers, resize and sharpen. ![]() That's it, you're done. Thank you for trying this tutorial, I hope it was enjoyable for you. The same thing can be done with a picture graphic like in the example below. Use your smudge tool on your picture layer to blend out the edges.
