Howdy and welcome. This tutorial was written for PSP7. I was going to write it in vectors but it became real tedious for me so I did it in vectors and supplied the selections for you. Even at that, there are a lot of layers and steps but it is not hard, just repetitive. Hope you have fun and enjoy this tutorial ... ;o) ... Lady TX.

You can get the selections HERE. Make a file in your PSP selections folder for mummy selections and unzip the selections to that folder.

This is the color palette. Right click on it and save to your hard drive:

1. Open a new transparent image 450X450. Add new layer and call it main shape. Open your color palette. Make your foreground color the cream color and your background color the dark brown. Do a save as and save your mummy. Save after every few steps 'cuz you sure don't want to have to start over!

2. Go to selections/load from disk and double click on mainshape.sel.

3. Flood fill with the dark brown color. Go to selections/modify/contract 2 and flood fill with the cream color.

4. Selections/none.

5. Add a new layer and label it "1". Go to selections/load from disk and double click on layer1.sel.

6. Flood fill with the dark brown and go to selections/modify/contract 2. Flood fill with the cream color. Go to selections/float.

7. Go to effects/3d effects/cutout and apply a cutout with these settings. Make the shadow color the medium brown color.

8. Go to effects/3d effects/drop shadow and apply with these settings and the same medium brown color.

9. Select none.

10. Ok, get yourself comfortable. Do the same things with selection 2 through 17 - make a new layer - name it - load the next numerical selection - flood fill with the dark brown - selections/modify 2 - flood fill with the cream - float the selection - do the cutout and then do the drop shadow and then select none. It is tedious but you gotta concentrate because it's easy to forget a step.

11. Whew - Glad to see you're back!! ... Hope you've been saving that work!!

12. Now go to your layer palette and make a new layer called tie. Load the selection called "tie". Do the same steps with this selection as you have done with all the other layers.

13. Go to your layer palette and move this layer beneath your mainshape layer. Duplicate this layer and using your deformation tool tilt it a little bit and move it into position.

14. Go back up to your top layer and make a new layer called black and load the selection called black. Flood fill this selection with black. Selections none.

15. Make a new layer called eyes. Load the selection called eyes. Flood fill with white and select none.

16. Make a new layer called black of eyes and load the selection called blackofeyes. Flood fill with black. Select none.

17. Duplicate that layer and using your mover tool move over to the other eye.

18. Make a new layer called pupil and load that selection. Flood fill with white and select none.

19. Duplicate that layer and move the pupil over to the other eye.

20. Make a new layer called shoe and load that selection. Flood this selection with black and apply an inner bevel with these settings.

21. Add a drop shadow with these settings and the color black.

22. Select none.

23. Duplicate this layer and move into position.

24. Merge visible layers. Go to select all and then float. Do a cutout with the same settings as before. Go back and do the cutout again with -2 V and -2 H this time.

That's it. You're done. Hope you enjoy your mummy.
